Public Works Responsibilities:

Public Works personnel are responsible for the construction and maintenance of the City's infrastructure that serves all City residents including City streets, sidewalks, parks, water system, hydrants, sewer collection system, storm drains, street trees and bridges. Public Works is also responsible for the maintenance of all City Buildings and City owned properties. They provide a variety of other services to the residents of Red Bluff such as assistance with Community Events, and emergency response to City water/sewer line problems.

The Public Works Department oversees and is responsible for various sub-departments such as:

Airport
Engineering
Parks
Streets
Water
Wastewater

Emergency Services:

Standby 24/7 emergency services are provided to residences within the City of Red Bluff for problems located in the public right of way that are an emergency in nature. Typical emergency calls consist of: Waterline Breaks, Sewer Backups, Traffic Signal Failures, Storm events like Street Flooding or Trees in road.
