Our Recreation department is committed to providing fun and affordable activities in and around our park facilities year-round. From tiny tots to seniors, we offer activities that suit all age groups and skill levels.  Learn something new, hone an old skill, connect with people, or enjoy the outdoors!

The functions of the Department are to provide opportunities for wholesome year-round public recreation service for each age group and to develop and maintain in an attractive and safe manner the parks and recreation areas and facilities of the city, and to ensure that the facilities are suitable for a wide variety of recreation purposes.

Directions: Take South Main Exit off I-5. Turn left onto South Main, left on Luther (first light) left at stop sign (Jackson Street) The next stop sign is 1500 South Jackson. (cross street is Kimball) Types of payment are cash and check. We do not accept credit cards at this time. 45 miles north of Chico and 30 miles south of Redding.

Do we have equipment to rent or utilize from the Community Center?

  • 6 Foot Rectangular Tables ($6 each) per day
  • Folding Chairs ($1.50 each) per day

What adult sports programs are offered?

  • Basketball League
  • Women's Volleyball League
  • Coed Volleyball
  • Coed Softball League
  • Men's Softball League

What children's activities are offered?

During the school breaks, (Christmas, winter, spring and summer) special day programs are offered. It is a program designed for children ages 5-12, offering sports, arts and craft and structured play. McGlynn Pool located at the River Park offers swim lessons and public swim from June - August.
